Everyone can learn to swim

Every adult, teenager, and child should be able to swim. It is an essential survival skill. Under the expert care and tuition of Braemore Swimming Club even the most nervous pupil can learn to swim. The club teaches children from as young as three and has teachers in the water and at the poolside. You can learn to swim at any age. Adults of all ages learn to swim in these classes. The club's experienced instructors are practiced in helping pupils overcome their fear of water and helping pupils to progress to swimming the width of the pool unaided.

Technique is also a key focus of the classes. When adults and children learn how to breathe correctly on front crawl and to swim with good stroke technique they are then able to swim for longer distances and with ease.

Swimming promotes health, fitness, and relaxation. It is a non-weight bearing, aerobic, exercise. It helps to develop cardiovascular fitness, maintain flexibility, and promotes healing after injury.

Braemor SC's children’s classes are held on Friday at 5.20pm for beginners and improvers, with lane swimming at 6.10pm. Adult one to one classes are available on request.

Braemor SC also runs a daily swim for one week at 10am and 10.45am for ages three to 14 years. Children on this course make great progress in learning and improving their swimming.

The summer school will commence this year on July 12. You must book a place as numbers are limited. For bookings and more information phone Braemor SC at 086 1051100.
