Joyces gets ready for outdoor dining

As Ireland looks towards a summer of outdoor socialising, barbecues and garden parties, Joyce’s Supermarkets has been working with Irish suppliers and producers to introduce new product lines for all occasions.

With ten supermarkets across Galway, and many located in close proximity to popular staycation areas, Joyce’s Supermarkets looks forward to serving locals and holidaymakers from across Ireland.

To give customers an ideal summer experience, a new range of Spanish wines has been introduced to stores in Headford, Knocknacarra, Athenry, Tuam, Inverin, Ballybane, Fr Griffin Road, Doughiska, Oranmore and Oughterard. Joyce’s has introduced ten new wines and is one of a limited number of suppliers of the range in the west of Ireland. With options available from €9.99 to €39.99, the new Spanish range will cater for all budgets.

The new range has been carefully selected by Antonia Dominguez from Antonia’s Wines/Michael Slattery Wines and Spirits, a long-standing supplier of Joyce’s. The selection is based on offering unique and expressive wines with personality, bringing Irish consumers as close as possible to an authentic wine experience. The new range includes: Navesur Veredjo White Wine; Adega de Moncao Escolha; Con Un Par Sauvignon Blanc; El Copon Monastrell-Syrah 2018; Enate Chadonnay; Enate Cabernet-Merlot; Sabalo Organic White; Senda Old Vine Garnacha 2018; El Borde Old Vine Monastrell 2018; and Forlong Tintilla.

Aisling Joyce, director of operations at Joyce’s Supermarkets, said: “Our instore teams will be on hand to assist customers with food pairings and recommendations for our new wine range, from seafood to meat and cheeses.”

For an ideal summer dessert, Joyce’s has paired Arrabawn cream from the local dairy co-operative with in-season Irish strawberries from Clarke’s fresh fruit in County Meath and Sunglow Nurseries in north Dublin.

“Irish strawberries and cream is one of Ireland’s best dessert pairings. We are delighted to be working with suppliers and producers across Ireland to showcase local produce of a very high quality.”

Earlier this year, Joyce’s Supermarkets announced it had spent €20 million on Irish products in 12 months, continuing the longstanding tradition of providing high quality, locally sourced and competitively priced goods.
