A NEW dance, drama, singing, and musical theatre stage school for children and young people has been launched in Headford with summer camps starting at the end of this month.
The Ensemble Academy of Dramatic Arts was founded this year by Headford native Marcus Wynne. It will cater for those aged from four to 17.
EADA’s studio is located in the Cloughanover Community Centre, 3kms from Headford and 20kms from Galway. The space allows for different age appropriate groups to work simultaneously in the same building. There are three groups: Bumbles (four to seven years ), Juniors ( eight to 12 years ) and Teens (13 to 17 years ).

“Growing up in Cloughanover I was immersed in drama and music from a very young age,” said Marcus Wynne. “I am passionate about the arts, and I am keen to give back to the community and enable young people to flourish in a creative environment as I did myself.”
The summer camps will focus on drama games, choreography, and singing, while older students will learn how to perform a script and also how to write one. Every student will receive an EADA camp T-shirt and a surprise. At the end of each week young actors will have the chance to showcase their talent on stage with a show for parents.
All EADA teachers are qualified and experienced in their various fields and fully Garda vetted.
