Tomorrow, Friday, at 12 noon, Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers will take to the podium at his live stream property auction. The live stream event is available for all to watch on the company website and its social media platforms. The auction commences at 12 noon and features more than 40 select properties from along the west coast and indeed throughout the sunny southeast.

On Monday, May 10, the long-awaited physical property viewings returned and the team at O’Donnellan & Joyce reported a great number of requests for viewings for properties in Galway city and county. Open viewings also returned on May 10 and while the demand was considerable, the company continues to operate a strict viewing policy which is enforced in the interest of public health and safety.

Those wishing to complete a purchase tomorrow are reminded that they must have registered to bid in advance. A €5,000 bidding security deposit was also due to be paid to the auction house before the registration deadline. Bidding for the June auction will be by remote bidding only via internet, telephone, or proxy bidding.

If you are unsuccessful at the auction, the €5,000 fee will be refunded to your card automatically within five to seven working days. If you are the highest bidder on any given lot, €4,500 will go towards the contract deposit on the property while the remaining €500 will cover administration and transaction charges. If you are the highest bidder on any given lot when the hammer falls, you are deemed to be the purchaser and you will be required to pay the balance of 10 per cent of the purchase price within two working days of the auction concluding.
