THE STAVES, the English folk-pop trio of Emily, Jessica, and Camilla Staveley-Taylor - will play Ireland in October, including a show at the Róisín Dubh.
“We’re so excited and thankful to be announcing an Ireland tour,” said the sisters. “It’s been a long old year and we can't WAIT to play music in front of people again! We hope to see all your lovely faces there.”
Earlier this year, The Staves released their third album, Good Woman, via Warners, ahich showcased how they are comfortable in a variety of styles - folk/singer-songwriter, AOR, indie-rock, roots - without losing a cohesive, focussed sound, and as ever, their exquisite vocal harmonies.
The album met with deserved acclaim. The Guardian praised its “melodic sweetness...bolstered by a sense of urgency and stylistic cool”; MOJO called it “elegantly nuanced”; while Uncut said the sister’s “three-part blood harmonies form the shimmering centre of an elaborate, album-long soundscape”.
The Staves will play the Róisín Dubh on Saturday October 16. For tickets see www.roisindubh.net or Ticketmaster.ie
