TWO MUSICIANS, one from County Galway, the other with impeccable Galway roots, recently performed with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and the conert is now available to listen to.
Niamh Regan, from Kilrickle, and David Kitt, whose roots also lie in east Galway, were in concert with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra on May 3, with the show being broadcast on Radio 1.
The one-hour special features conversations and a selection of songs from both artists - ‘Step Outside in the Morning Light’, ‘Song of Two Birds’, and a cover of ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ by David Kitt, and ‘How About That Coffee?’, ‘Hallelujah Game’, and ‘What to Do’ by Niamh Regan - with orchestral arrangements by Caimin Gilmore and Cormac McCarthy. Regan and Kitt also duetted on ‘Two Seagulls’ from Regan’s critically acclaimed and Choice Award nominated debut album, Hemet.
