TIN FOIL Hat - the headgear of choice for conspiracy theorists convinced someone is trying to read or control their minds, or the ‘threat’ from electromagnetic fields, is the inspiration for a new single released on Friday May 7.
‘Tin Foil Hat’ is the new single from Galway experimental indie musician, Loner Deluxe, and will be available via the Bandcamp page of the independent Galway label, Rusted Rail.
Video made in collaboration with tinyEPICs.
Although billed as a ‘digital cassingle’, the release is more of an EP, as it features four tracks. Alongside the title number, there is also the Krautrock-esque garage-rock stomper, 'Sister Rainy Day'; a hypnotic slice of dubby groove in 'You Know It's True', and a cover of The Declining Winter’s 'Housing Tract Blues'.
‘Tin Foil Hat’ also appears on Loner Deluxe’s latest album, Field Recordings, which Felt Hat Reviews said was “like a mixtape compiled from the shelves of a discerning connoisseur of early-1990s-to-mid-2000s Matador, Merge, 4AD and the like.”
