GALWAY WFC 4 TREATY UNITED 1

Galway WFC earned an important WNL win over a spirited Treaty United outfit at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Four first half goals in a blistering seven minute spell ensured Galway seized the initiative.

Lynsey McKey rifled Galway ahead in the 11th minute connecting with a Chloe Moloney header following a Kate Slevin corner.

Talented teenager Slevin was involved again on 15 when another corner found Savannah McCarthy, who headed home.

Within a minute Sinead Donovan crafted a third for Shauna Brennan as Galway dictated the agenda.

In the 17th minute Rachel Kearns scored her sixth goal of the campaign when McKey turned provider.

After the restart Treaty battled in admirable fashion with substitute Aine Walsh grabbing a consolation goal in the 77th minute.

Next Saturday Galway travel to Ferrycarrig Park for what promises to be a revealing fixture against Wexford Youths.
