Druid, GIAF, and Baboró in line for Business to Arts Awards

Galway arts organisations shortlisted for partnerships with Medtronic, Aerogen and Flogas

Baboró International Arts Festival for Children, Druid, and the Galway International Arts Festival have been shortlisted for the prestigious Business to Arts Awards.

Business to Arts is a membership-based, charitable organisation that brokers, enables, and supports creative partnerships between businesses, individuals, and the arts. The award winners, now in their 29th year, will be announced on April 21. This year’s winners will be presented with a limited edition award sculpture created by artist and woodturner, Kathleen Walsh.

The shortlist recognises creative partnerships which are adapting to the current environment - be it the era of climate change and/or the Covid-19 pandemic - and are setting new standards for arts engagement and backing. The nominations received represented more than €9 million contributed to Irish arts and culture.

The Galway nominees

The GIAF, along with Flogas, have been jointly nominated for 'Best Use of Creativity in the Community' award, supported by Irish Life, for the Mirror Pavilion LED sculpture by John Gerrard. Both Druid and Baboró are nominated for the Best Small Sponsorship award - Druid Theatre Company for its partnership with Aerogen, and Baboró for its partnership with Medtronic.
