150 of the practice’s over 85s were vaccinated as the centre was chosen to be one of the first GP centres in the country to start the rollout of the national vaccination programme.
Practice manager Ronan Casey said that their Practice Partner and Vaccination Clinic Director, Dr. Olga O Driscoll was busy over the past couple of weeks planning their first Covid-19 vaccination clinic as they wanted to ensure the Covid-19 vaccination was a positive and seamless experience, particularly for this patient group on Tuesday afternoon.
He said that many of the patients that were invited to this clinic, they had not seen in over a year because they were cocooning. He added that the team is looking forward to completing all their over 70s patients over the next few weeks.
