Russell Kane to headline Comedy KARLnival Online

Line up for the night of online laughs includes Paul McCaffrey and Josh Jones

A MULTI-award winning stand-up, a podcaster, a novelist, an actor, a scriptwriter, a presenter, Russell Kane is something of a comedic Renaissance man, and he will be live in Galway's living rooms this week.

Russell Kane, along with Paul McCaffrey and Josh Jones, along with MC Karl Spain, will play the Comedy KARLnival Online, which takes place on Friday February 19 from 8pm.

Winner of Best Show in 2010 at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, Russell Kane was the first comedian to win both the Edinburgh Comedy Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in one year.

Since then he has appeared on The Apprentice You’re Fired, The One Show, Antiques Roadtrip, Stupid Man, Smart Phone, and hosted three series of Live At The Electric. He also hosts the BBC Sounds podcast, Evil Genius, as well as Boy’s Don’t Cry, and features regularly on the iTunes top charts for listened to podcasts.

Paul McCaffrey is the winner of the Latitude New Act of the Year and the London Paper New Act of the Year awards. He has appeared on Live at The Apollo. He has featured on Rob Beckett’s Rock'n'Roll Football and Russell Kane’s Whistle-Stop Tour on BBC Radio 2, and performed at the Reading, Leeds, Bestival, and Latitude festivals.

Manchester's Josh Jones was named as one of Chortle.co.uk’s Ones to Watch in 2019 and was a BBC New Comedy Award Finalist. In 2020 he made his TV stand-up debut on ITV’s Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club. He has also appeared on Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats.
