‘Lockdown Diaries’ - seeking stories of older people's experience of the pandemic

Experiences of older people of the lockdown sought for new competition

THE GALWAY County Council and Galway Public Libraries are seeking submissions from older residents of Galway city and county to reflect on life in Ireland during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Entries can be in the form of a short story or diary entry, no longer than 500 words. Entries are welcome in either Irish or English. An independent panel will assist the facilitator to judge the entries, and prizes will be awarded to the top three entries. A selection of entries may also be chosen for publication in an anthology.

Entries are accepted up to and including February 19, and should be emailed to [email protected], or sent via post to Lockdown Diaries, Galway City Library, Hynes Building, St Augustine Street, Galway, H91 R6WF.
