Flatley appointed new Galway WFC Under 19 manager

Emer Flatley has been appointed Galway WFC U19 manager.

A new national competition for this age group in the women's game will commence this year with Flatley set to take charge of the Corribside outfit.

With several exciting emerging players in the region, Galway WFC has enjoyed success at U17 level recently. Having been involved in the U17 set-up, Flatley is hopeful about making an impact.

"I'm delighted to step into the U19 role after three seasons with the U17s," Flatley says. "I'm grateful to the club for affording me the opportunity."

A former Salthill Devon and Galway WFC player, Flatley also represented the Republic of Ireland in underage football.

In 2009 Flatley moved to the United States of America on a soccer scholarship before working as a coach in New Jersey. The UEFA A Licence holder has been involved with Galway WFC and NUIG teams and includes Robbie Barrett and Alan Faulkner as part of her backroom team.
