Upskilling opportunities available from GRETB

Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB ) has launched a number of highly funded business courses, which are available online to employers and employees to help upskill staff and provide relevant and valuable skills for todays workplace.

Under the Government-funded Skills to Advance initiative, employers can avail of this funded training to help and benefit their organisation, whether it is to improve their employees' skills, respond to the changing nature of business, or help them take advantage of emerging opportunities such as remote working. Upskilling staff is central to delivering long term sustainable growth and also coping and adapting to the rapid change we have experienced in the past year.

GRETB is offering an online programme in leadership and management which puts particular emphasis on leading through change. Providing supervisory staff with valuable people management skills such as motivation, performance management, and understanding the management role can enhance your business and improve performance metrics.

GRETB also has online programmes in customer service in industry, and training and development, that are also highly funded (subject to eligibility criteria ). These online programmes are designed to provide accessible training solutions to fit around business and busy working lives.

GRETB strongly encourages employers within Galway and Roscommon to get in contact and take advantage of this great opportunity to upskill staff at this critical time.
