Students from Coláiste Naomh Eoin on Inis Meáin have won the 2020 ESB Engineers of Imagination award at ESB Creative Tech Fest for developing an interactive small raft using circuitry and motors.
The students, along with their teacher Helen Ní Chríodáin, were presented with their ESB Creative Tech Fest award from local ESB Networks operator, Ray Blackmore, and Jen Hesnan from Camara Ireland’s TechSpace programme.
Ms Ní Chríodáin has been named the ESB TechSpace Educator of the Year for her work supporting the young people of Inis Meáin to engage in Clár TechSpace, delivered through Irish in their school, while developing her science teaching to incorporate creative technology opportunities for young people.
