Galway United gets behind St Vincent de Paul appeal

Every year, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides help with food to thousands of families at Christmas to ensure that every family has what they need. This Christmas over 140,000 people in communities across the country will ask SVP for help with food fuel and basic clothing. This charity asks people to buy or get non-perishable food from their home and give it to your local SVP.

Galway United, the Galway United Friends Co-Op and the Galway Football Association will take part in this year’s SVP food collection for the local St Vincent De Paul.

Galway United Manager John Caulfield, at this week’s launch of the food appeal said “Everyone involved at Galway United, from our Co-Op to our Academy, and the Galway Football Association is delighted to play a small role in helping to provide local families with food supplies to ensure they have a happy and healthy Christmas.

“This can be an extremely worrying time of year for many people and we are confident, with the generosity of the Galway United fans and those in the community, that this year’s appeal will a fantastic success. Go raibh maith agaibh!”

Food donations can be left into the Galway United Pop-Up Store located at 7 Eyre Square (Beside O’Connells Bar ). Boxes will be delivered on Tuesday 22/12/2020.
