Aran Island singer-songwriter to play special streamed concert marking recent release of his Making Sand album

PADRAIG JACK, described by Hot Press as "one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging folk artists", will play a special live streamed concert from An Taibhdhearc this Sunday, December 13, at 8.30pm.

The concert will see Padraig perform songs from his Making Sand album which came out in September. The album has enjoyed great acclaim, becoming an RTÉ Radio One 'Album of The Week'; receiving prizes from the BBC's Janice Long; while Miles Hunt of The Wonder Stuff declared, "This album will be a lifelong favourite”.

Padraig Jack (Ó Flaithearta ) was born into a musical family from the Aran islands. His father is the songwriter Barry Ronan and he is the nephew of the Irish poet and Aosdána member Mary O’Malley.

A native of Inis Mór, Padraig is proudly bilingual both as a conversationalist and a songwriter. His influences include James Taylor, Van Morrison, Shane McGowan, Sandy Denny, and Jimmy McCarthy.
