As the song goes ‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’, and it certainly feels that way as you ramble through Galway City Streets, with the Christmas lights glittering overhead and the odd buskers belting out a version of Fairytale of New York to passers-by. But just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, and just in time for the unofficial launch of Christmas, The Late Late Toy Show, we get the news that our restaurants can reopen. A Christmas Miracle!
From Friday the 4th December, Restaurants and Bars that serve food can reopen under restrictions and we are delighted to say that The Skeff Bar & Kitchen will be back to serving you great meals, superb cocktails and fine whiskeys once more.
But as well as full restaurant service, this year The Skeff has something extra special to offer those of you looking for a real festive experience. For the past number of years Eyre Square has been the centre of Galway’s festive atmosphere, with the wonderful Continental Christmas Market, which unfortunately isn’t operating this year.
But not to fear, The Skeff Chistmas Mini Market will be here to give you your festive fix with a gorgeous new ‘Grab & Go’ selection. Sip on a Hot Drink such as Powers Hot Whiskey or Irish Coffee as you take in the Christmas lights of Galway, enjoy a Venison Hotdog in Eyre Square or Spoil yourself with a Crêpe smothered in Nutella.
The Skeff Christmas Mini Market launches on Friday 4th December, take a look at The Skeff Bar on social media for more details and menus or simply pop by, see for yourself and enjoy a festive, outdoors, socially distant Christmas tradition.
