Ireland’s complete property service – O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers has launched its December auction catalogue which comprises a great selection of properties that will go under Colm O’Donnellan’s auction hammer on Friday December 11 at 12 noon in his digital auction room.
Auctioneer Colm O’Donnellan is well renowned for his energetic and enthusiastic methods of commanding the auction room, and with results that speak for themselves, the auction method of sale has led to many happy buyers securing the home of their dreams after an exciting and entertaining day at the auction. Although the event now takes place via live stream, the auctioneer has successfully carried across his style to the company's new virtual platform.
The October auction held by O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers was the first of its kind in the country. Combining telephone and proxy bidding with the digital auction room and broadcast via HD video stream, the event was a huge success and the feedback received from bidders on the day was superb. One bidder commented: “We purchased our new property from the comfort of our own home. During the pandemic, we were able to browse through the auction catalogue from our phone or laptop, view the property remotely, and even bid remotely while it felt like we were sitting in the auction room at the Harbour Hotel.” Another bidder noted: “This was not my first time purchasing from O’Donnellan’s auction room. Apart from not having to drive 40 miles to the auction room, the whole process was exactly the same. It was smooth and professional and was actually much more efficient than I had thought.”
With the challenges that the current Covid-19 pandemic presents, the team at ODJ offer the auction catalogue via their website www.odonnjoyce.com They also offer high quality internal imagery across all homes within the sale listing, which means that potential buyers can get a good feel for the property before they make an inquiry. Virtual viewings and video tours also make the catalogue available to both national and international buyers who cannot travel during this period. Although the Mary Street offices are closed to the public, the auction team remain at work and have an extensive range of properties on offer across both the auction and private treaty departments.
The next nationwide property auction is scheduled for Friday December 11, and the team are available to answer any questions that you may have in the meantime. Both virtual and physical property viewings are available across the spectrum of available lots. Bidders are reminded that they must register well in advance of the auction as proof of ID and transfer of deposit funds must be verified before they will be allowed to bid.
