To end proceedings, GMIT student choir, directed by award-winning choir master and musical director Seán Rowland, will perform a rendition of a well- known hit single, especially for the GMIT graduates of 2020.

GMIT student affairs manager Debbie Molloy said: “The graduation is the most celebrated event in the GMIT academic calendar. Virtual graduation ceremonies are a first for GMIT, and while staff and management are disappointed that it is not possible to celebrate this special occasion with graduates in person, the graduation team have endeavoured to create a personalised event that captures the significant achievements of the class of 2020.

“It is our hope that the online ceremony is a memorable one for graduates and their families," she added. "I would like to thank the staff in GMIT, Tadhg from Keady Audio Visual Services, and Proactive Design and Marketing for the assistance in creating this virtual event.”
