What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Cold beers on a hot beach with good company and good tunes.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

E.T.

Which living person do you most admire?

My mam and dad.

Which is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

Laziness sometimes - but deplore is a bit strong.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Tattoos and buying vinyl I rarely get to play.

What is your favourite journey?

I never like the journey, I like the destination.

On what occasion do you lie?

White lies to my kids to get them through their early years before reality hits!

Which living person do you most despise?

Trump obviously.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?

My wife Emer who gave me the love and company I was looking for. And as a bonus prize she gave me my beautiful kids.

When and where were you happiest?

Floating in the water in Spain looking at my family playing on the shore last year.

Which talent would you most like to have?

To play the piano without having to go to the efforts of learning. Maybe soon they can just upload it to my head.

What is your current state of mind?

Trying to stay calm and collected in these unusual times.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Songwriting and creating and releasing albums.

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what do you think it would be?

I believe when you go, you hurtle through endless infinite dreams forever.

What is your most treasured possession?

A silver cross around my neck given to me by my parents.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

Homelessness.

What is your favourite occupation?

Playing and recording music.

What is the quality you most like in a man?

I like empathetic, humble, funny fellows.

What is the quality you most like in a woman?

A good sense of humour.

Who are your favourite writers?

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. I forget their surnames but they were all in my old school.

What is your motto?

'See the beauty in everything' and 'Everything in moderation...including moderation.'
