The latest new homes development to come to the market in Galway city is ready to open its showhouse doors for the first time this weekend on the back of strong ‘off plan’ sales to date.
Fánán is situated on Letteragh Road in an established suburban area in the west side of Galway city, approximately 2.5km from the city centre and close to NUI Galway, University Hospital Galway, Salthill Promenade, and Galway Golf Club. Developed on an elevated site facing south and east looking towards Galway city and Salthill, the descriptive Gaelic name Fánán broadly means ‘sloping hillside’. The name captures the features and essence of this exciting location.
It is the latest development from Burkeway Homes, a long-established premium home building company headquartered in Galway. Burkeway has already reported in excess of 30 sales ‘off plan’. Phase 1 quickly sold out when the first houses were released at the end of July. Homes continued to be snapped up in the intervening period and now the final phase of houses is being made available.
In total there will be 101 units provided to the undersupplied Galway market when the scheme is fully complete, comprising 46 three and four bedroom houses and 55 one, two, and three bedroom high end apartments. Construction is well advanced on the housing element of the scheme that incorporates the initial phases of development.
The properties currently for sale are modern, spacious, A2 rated, three and four bedroom terraced and semidetached and four bedroom detached homes, with limited availability remaining for each of the house types.
These homes have been designed by award winning architects McCauley Daye O’Connell in conjunction with Burkeway Homes to incorporate cutting edge modern building technology, creating homes with A2 BERs. The design and orientation of each home has been carefully planned to maximise the use of space and light, while Burkeway has introduced brick in strategic sections of the site, to complement the overall design.
Great care and thought have gone into the amenity spaces in Fánán, with landscaped open green spaces, pocket parks, an all weather 4G playing surface, and children’s playground all on site.
Athlone based interior designers Ashen & Cloud were engaged to design and fit out the showhouse with a simple brief; high quality finishes at an affordable price. Purchasers also have a choice of premium fitted kitchen by Regan Kitchens while all bathrooms and en suites are finished with modern tiling and sanitary ware.
Michael Burke, MD of Burkeway Homes, commented: “We are delighted with the response Fánán has received since we brought the homes to the market at the end of July. We are very proud of this development and know the purchasers will be delighted with their new homes.
