Pale Blue Dot ® Recruitment has partnered with COPE Galway as their official charity for 2020. COPE Galway, are a local Galway Charity, whose vision is an “Improved Quality of Life in a Home of your Own” for people affected by homelessness, women and children experiencing domestic abuse, and older people.
Anthony Griffin, managing director of Pale Blue Dot®, believes “Playing a role in the community and supporting local is something that Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment holds very highly. COPE Galway provides so many services to the local community, supporting those who are in need most.”
Pale Blue Dot® Recruitment have sponsored a number of fundraising events for the charity in order to support their vision. In 2019 COPE Galway responded to the needs of 2,984 people in Galway who were experiencing homelessness, domestic abuse, and older people in need of social and nutritional support.
Cope Galway continues to provide an array of services to older people in the community including Meals on Wheels, Lunch Clubs and Community Support. Most recently the company took part in #Challenge32, a nationwide remote fundraiser conceptualised in the height of Covid-19 lockdown. The Pale Blue Dot® team each challenged themselves to an activity based around the numbers 32 or 3.2 and raised over 500 euro in donation and pledges.
