Hello Galway – Gorse Eatery and Venue opens in Barna

Gorse Eatery and Venue is located in the beautiful Bearna Golf Club, with spectacular 180 degree views over Bearna Bog, the Burren, and as far as the Aran Islands on a good day. There is certainly more than one reason to visit. The golf club restaurant is open to the public and the club has excellent membership offers for the rest of the year.

So why not take a trip to Gorse Eatery and Venue. Book the fabulous after tee tea with Ronnefeldt Teas, or the grazing tea if you are more the savoury type. Both are just €18 per person.

The cafe has a mouthwatering menu to offer, and one of the best pints in the county.

Recharge your batteries after a walk around the bog, cycling the back roads, or exploring the Wild Atlantic Way by motorbike or car. It is also just a 20 minute drive from Galway city centre.

Book a golf lesson and find a new hobby. Bring the family, including the dog. Gorse Eatery and Venue is the newest addition to the list of dog friendly places in the City of the Tribes.

With approximately 600sq m of space, this venue can host all your celebrations in a socially distanced manner. Whether celebrating, commiserating, or fundraising, the team will give you their undivided attention.

Julia Mundt, restaurant manager and host, has been in the hospitality industry for more than 20 years and has seen it all. Ian Painter, head chef, has also been swinging the wooden spoon for 20 years and is always creating new culinary delights, such as his re-invention of the hash brown.
