Me Auld Flower wants to 'Get Out Of California'

Connemara singer-songwriter releases new single and limited edition CD of latest album

COUNTY GALWAY singer-songwriter Me Auld Flower, has released his latest single, 'Get Out Of California' with an accompanying video, as well as a limited edition CD release of his album, The Vaults Of Consciousness.

Me Auld Flower wrote 'Get Out Of California' after coming home to Ireland from the US, having lived there on and off for a number of years. "I'd met a lot of dodgy characters, got myself into some strange situations, and my life had begun to spiral a little bit," he says. "My relationship at the time had exploded spectacularly and I ended up holed up in a country house in Connemara for my own good with a stray cat, each of us minding the other.

"I wrote the song on a long summer's evening, looking out on the back garden and adjoining churchyard. The sun was setting, and the cat, who usually turned tail whenever I picked up the guitar, sat quietly on the windowsill in a kind of unspoken solidarity."

'Get Out Of California' is available across all digital platforms. The CD edition of The Vaults Of Consciousness is available via Bandcamp.
