QUIET PLACES and Objects Trouvés, a father-daughter artistic collaboration, will be on display at Anton's Cafe, Fr Griffin Road, throughout July.
The exhibition features paintings in mixed media, using ink, acrylic, and oils, by Clodagh Wade. "Quiet Places is a collection of paintings I hope the observer can escape to if there is too much noise in the background," she says.

Objects Trouvés features paintings and sculpture by her father, Willie Wade [a detail from one of his works is pictured above]. Initially, Clodagh was asked to do a solo exhibition, but later was diagnosed with an incurable eye condition which meant that producing 12 paintings for the show was, as she says, "unrealistic, and that's where my father came in".
While Willie is a highly respected photographer, he has, in recent years explored sculpture and painting. "He is great with his hands and always had a keen interest in recycling and upscaling from a young age," says Clodagh.
Money raised from sales of work in the exhibition will go to the Galway Hospice.
