The GAA is gearing up for a much-awaited return to action.
With adult training having started yesterday, and minors on Saturday, the GAA is readying itself for competitive action.
September 14 is the date when inter-county training will resume ahead of competition on October 17 - full details of which will be released this week. Club fixtures get the go ahead from July 17.
However, training is currently restricted to non contact with a maximum of 15 players in a designated area of the field, with no access to dressing room areas.
Dates have been set for this year's Liberty Insurance All Ireland Camogie Championship which takes place from October to December and will start on a round-robin basis before the knock-out stages. The dates have yet to be confirmed, but there will be no automatic promotion or relegation. The Camogie Association says the 2020/21 All Ireland Club will proceed with a revised calendar that will run into 2021, while the Camogie Leagues, which started in pre-Covid, have been cancelled.
In Galway draws for the senior, intermediate, junior and minor championships will take place in the Loughrea Hotel on Monday (June 29 ) with hurling manager Shane O'Neill invited as the special guest. The hurling fixtures commence on the weekend of July 25/26, with remaining group games on August 8/9 and 22/23.
Next Tuesday is the date for the 2020 All Ireland junior intermediate and senior ladies' football draws.
Twelve counties make up the senior championship divided into four groups of three for the round-robin stages. Last season's semi-finalists, Dublin, Galway, Cork and Mayo are seeded, and placed in separate groups with an open draw determining the remainder.
