A moment of peace beside the sea, the sun in my face, and the wind in my hair.

Fionn McCoole? That's not history but it's a good story nonetheless...

Diarmuid Lyng is up there - great hurler.
Which is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Procrastination! (how long did it take me to look at this like? ).
What is your greatest extravagance?
Booking a flight to Mexico with my first big paycheck from a butter advert a few years ago!

A journey to the unknown…
On what occasion do you lie?
Only when it’s called for, like now, perhaps.
Which living person do you most despise?
There’s a few political leaders I could mention, but I prefer not to give them the air time to even mention their names.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Stories! In all their beautiful forms and variable means of being transmitted from one to another.
When and where were you happiest?
When I’m staring at the sea, or surrounded by music.
Which talent would you most like to have?
To write applications.
What is your current state of mind?
Fluctuating between restless and relaxed.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Performing in the Abbey Theatre last year and working with Edna O’Brien on her self adapted version of The Country Girls.
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what do you think it would be?
A hawk! They seem pretty chilled up there.
What is your most treasured possession?
My current notebook I’d say.
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Being all alone and falling down a well miles away from anyone knowing you are stuck there.

Being a performer!

Honour - the quality of knowing and doing what is morally right.
