Being surrounded by family and friends which seems a distant memory now!

Roy Keane – a born leader (I’ll upset 50% of the nation now ).

I can’t and won’t delegate a job to someone else.
What is your greatest extravagance?
My 2007 car haha. Not much to show in the extravagant department.
What is your favourite journey?
Walking up the Dyke Road with my nine-year-old cheering on Galway United.
On what occasion do you lie?
When I tell Liverpool fans it doesn’t bother me they will win the Premier League this year.
Which living person do you most despise?
Donald Trump.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My wife Karen and three kids Ryan, Adam, and Ben.
When and where were you happiest?
Having family, friends and neighbours around me when I was first elected in 2014 in the Westside Community Centre, my home patch.
Which talent would you most like to have?
I am nearly a year trying to figure out how to play the guitar.
What is your current state of mind?
Never better.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Back to back poll topping performances in 2014 and 2019 and being able to be a positive influence on young people as a juvenile football and basketball coach.
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what do you think it would be?
I wouldn’t! I intend to get out of life what I want so when it is all over I can have a good rest wherever that next place may be.
What is your most treasured possession?
My state of mind.
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Not being able to provide for your family.
What is your favourite occupation?
I enjoy the role as Mayor. It gives an opportunity to meet different people and communities.

Being confident to be yourself.

As above.
Who are your favourite writers?
I read a lot of sports autobiographies. I enjoy understanding how they got to where they ended up and the challenges they overcame.
