A pop song about the coronavirus lockdown

Two Galway musicians create ‘Viral Hit’ during ‘bout of cabin fever

“Hibernation in the spring, lots of social distancing, we're in lockdown and shut in, is this really happening?”

This is a verse from ‘Viral Hit’, a new indie/electro-pop track from Galway musicians Loner Deluxe (Keith Wallace ) and A Lilac Decline (Cecilia Danell ) written in response to the coronavirus pandemic and the current lock-down which is attempting to halt its spread.

“It’s a topical track made during a bout of cabin fever during the ongoing lockdown,” explains Keith, who played bass and synthesizers on the track. Cecilia played the electric guitar and banjo. Both she and Keith share vocal duties on ‘Viral Hit’.

The song has been released on independent Galway label Rusted Rail. ‘Viral Hit’ also serves as a taster for the forthcoming third album by Loner Deluxe which will be released later this year.
