Embodied Voice workshop

Workshop to take place at the Town Hall Theatre on March 21

AS PART of his Theatre Artist in Resident year in the Town Hall Theatre, Brú Theatre's James Riordan will curate a host of theatre workshops with European practitioners throughout 2020.

The first takes place in the Town Hall on Saturday March 21 from 11am - 5pm entitled Embodied Voice. Led by Julianna Bloodgood, formerly of Song of the Goat Theatre in Poland, this one-day workshop will explore the voice as experienced through the body and ensemble. The workshop will explore how we physically experience sound, and through this process students will discover the “many voices” they have inside and open the process of creating with these voices.

Each participant is asked to prepare a short text (classical, contemporary, or poetry ), Traditional songs are encouraged. Cost is €15 and spaces are limited. Booking is via www.brutheatre.com
