Andrew Maxwell - from reality TV to Reality

New show will hear comedian cover everything from tough political subjects to personal stories

HE SURVIVED ITV's I’m A Celebrity… and now Andrew Maxwell is making the transition from reality TV to actual reality in his new stand-up show, called Reality.

Maxwell headlines the Róisín Dubh tomorrow [Friday February 28] at 8pm. The show will cover everything from tough political subjects, to personal stories, to tales about people who have made the Dubliner laugh.

The last 18 months have been great for Andrew, having appeared on the BBC's Breaking The News, Comedy Central's Roast Battle, and ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Maxwell also went viral recently talking about the Irish border and Brexit, stating, "Number one, it's not the Irish border, it's the British border in Ireland. The Irish border is the beach". This was watched by more than 200 million people and had 250,000+ comments.

His BBC Radio 4 series Welcome To Wherever You Are returned for a second series, and toured Britain for the first time in a decade with his critically acclaimed show Showtime. In 2018 he won Celebrity Mastermind with the specialist subject of Lebanon (which he knew nothing about six months before the recording ). All we can say is, he's some man for one man!

Tickets are €20/18 from roisindubh.net; Róisín Dubh; and OMG Zhivago, Shop Street.
