Julie Jay - first solo tour comes to Galway

Comedian to ponder Oprah, being childless in the state of Gilead; and dealing with the gardaĆ in Julie Really Love Me?

JULIE JAY, described by Tommy Tiernan as “the brightest, funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time”, is embarking on her first solo tour with her show, Julie Really Love Me?

Julie, who has been called "one of Ireland’s leading comedians", by TheJournal.ie, plays the Town Hall Studio on Thursday February 27 at 8.30pm. In Julie Really Love Me?, the comic explores her quest for validation, applying lessons gleamed from Oprah in the early nineties; navigating being childless in the state of Gilead; and dealing with the gardaí. Expect self-deprecation, wry wit, neurotic ponderings, and clever humour.

Julie has supported Ardal O’Hanlon and Des Bishop, and was the resident support act for Tommy Tiernan’s Paddy Crazy Horse Tour. She also MCed the 2019 series of The Tommy Tiernan Show on RTÉ One.

Tickets are available from the Town Hall (091 - 569777, www.tht.ie ).
