Amhrán Mór rehearsals - new members sought

Oranmore’s intergenerational choir gets ready for action in 2020

AMHRÁN MÓR, Oranmore’s intergenerational choir, returns to rehearsals this Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm in Scoil Mhuire Hall, ahead of its performance at the Oranmore Arts Festival 2020.

Old and new members are invited to join. Amhrán Mór is led by an experienced music therapist/conductor. Lámh sign language is incorporated into some of the songs. Lámh is a manual sign system used by children and adults with intellectual disability and communication needs in Ireland. Amhrán Mór encourages all members to bring their own keep cup to rehearsals for tea break.

Amhrán Mór will perform at the Oranmore Arts Festival on May 10 at 3pm in the Oranmore Lodge Hotel. Ahead of that there will be a fundraising karaoke night to support the choir in Keane's Bar on March 21 at 8.30pm. Tickets on sale at Amhrán Mór Rehearsals.
