LIGHT, AND how it affects the colours of the Galway landscape is at the heart of a new series of paintings by the artist Eileen Keane currently on show at the Town Hall Theatre bar.
The artist documents her experience of the impact changing light has on a variety of terrains, revealing the array of textures, contours, and colours that have enriched her experience of the natural landscape.
Graduating with a first class honours from Trinity College Dublin, Keane continued her studies in the National College of Art and Design, studying for a master's in socially engaged art. She subsequently studied art therapy with Crawford Art College. She is currently engaged in doctoral research in the area of contemporary art education.
