Tom O'Mahony headlines the Comedy KARLnival

Damo & Ivor and Bridget & Eamon headlines another night of comedy at the Róisín Dubh

HE FIRST came to attention as Tarquin the toff on Damo & Ivor, and later as oddball neighbour Paddy d'Pervert in Bridget & Eamon, while the late, great, Rik Mayall called him a "psychotically funny bastard".

He is Tom O'Mahony, and he headlines the Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh on Tuesday February 4 at 8pm. Described as “brilliantly badass” by Entertainment.ie, O'Mahony has toured with MTV star Tom Green and Mock The Week regular Tom Stade, and supported Nina Conti, Michael Winslow, Neil Delamare, and Tommy Tiernan.

Support is from Galway born Seán Begley, winner of the Bray Comedy Festival Best New Act Competition 2018. Now a regular on the Dublin comedy scene, his style mixes the genuine and the absurd, referencing marriage, parenthood, and the ineptitude of his own existence.

Also on the bill is Niall Horisk, who has played Dublin, Cork, and Edinburgh; shared stages with Phill Jupitus, Katherine Lynch, and Tommy Tiernan; was auditor of the NUI Galway Comedy Society for two years; and reached the finals of Show Me The Funny.

Tickets are €6 in advance from the Róisín Dubh, www.roisindubh.net, or OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, or €8 at the door.
