OVER THE Edge will mark its first outing of 2020 and its 17th Birthday this month, with a reading by the poets Attracta Fahy, Orla Fay, and the fiction writer Louise Kennedy.
Attracta Fahy's poems have been published in The Irish Times, Banshee, Poetry Ireland Review, Poethead, Orbis, Crossways, The Honest Ulsterman, and A New Ulster. She was shortlisted for 2018 Over The Edge New Writer of The Year, and was a Blue Nib nominee for a Pushcart prize.
Orla Fay is the editor of Boyne Berries. Her work has been published in The Irish Times, Poetry Ireland Review, and ROPES 2019. She was shortlisted for The Cúirt New Writing Prize 2019 and won third place in The Oliver Goldsmith Poetry Award 2019.
Louise Kennedy's fiction has been published in The Stinging Fly, Banshee, and The Tangerine. She was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Audible Short Story Award 2019. Bloomsbury will publish her debut short story collection, The End Of The World Is A Cul de Sac, in 2021.
The reading is in the Galway City Library on Thursday January 23 at 6.30pm. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. There will as be an open-mic after the featured. New readers are welcome.
