An East Galway TD has welcomed the allocation of €4m for 2020 for the Ballinderreen to Kinvara realignment Phase 2.
Minister for the Diaspora and International Development Ciaran Cannon has said that the funding will continue to support the process of strengthening the local business and tourism sectors in South Galway.
“Im pleased to see the allocations that have been made under the road allocations for Galway County and also to note that some €29m has been made available for both minor and major works”.
“I especially welcome funding of €4m for the Ballinderreen to Kinvara realignment Phase 2 which will continue the work of ensuring that our roads network in South Galway is fully fit for purpose both in terms of safety and for the increased passage of visitors to the region”.
“Both myself and Councillor Joe Byrne have worked hard to ensure that Ballinderreen to Kinvara realignment is progressed in a timely fashion and when the work is complete, it will continue to support the process of strengthening the local business and tourism sectors in South Galway.”
Minister Cannon added that investing in roads is investing in local economic development and in the principal access routes to our businesses, farms and homes.
