Lisa O’Neill to headline Eclectics night

Singer-songwriter releases new EP, The Wren, The Wren, via River Lea

LISA O'NEILL, the acclaimed Irish folk singer-songwriter, will headline the final Eclectic night of 2019 at The Black Gate Cultural Centre, St Francis Street, on Wednesday December 18 at 9pm.

The County Cavan native has been praised by The Irish Times, which said, “O’Neill stands tall for difference, as an outlier with a mission to frame the world as she sees it and to perform it accordingly. Her voice is her own. No small achievement.”

She recently won Best Original Track at the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards, while this week saw the release of her new EP, The Wren, The Wren on Rough Trade imprint River Lea. It features an original composition ('John Joe Reilly' ), the traditional song 'The Wren, The Wren', and Lisa's take on Percy French's 'Come Back Paddy Reilly To Ballyjamesduff'.
