David McSavage - National Treasure at the Town Hall

'Wow that was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, it was so original, courageous, and yet very flawed'

DAVID MCSAVAGE is a self-proclaimed national treasure. It has been said he is to comedy what the Abbey is to theatre, and perhaps believes he is more important than he is.

McSavage brings his new show, National Treasure, to the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday December 7 at 8pm. His intention for this new show, which he has yet to write, is for audience members to feel “Wow that was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, it was so original, courageous, and yet very flawed."

A writer and actor, as well as comedian, McSavage has performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe, and the Kilkenny Cats Laughs. He created and stared in The Savage Eye, which ran for four series on RTÉ - and was seen by many as among the very best comedy ever produced on Irish television. He has appeared in George Clooney’s Catch 22 and Shane Meadow’s The Virtues.

Tickets are available from the Town Hall via 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
