A Modern Movement - new clubnight for Galway

Slyrydes to be among acts performing at club's opening night

SLYRYDES, THE critically acclaimed Galway punk/post-punk band will be among the acts performing at the opening night of A Modern Movement, a new clubnight for the city.

The night takes place in The Loft at Seven, Bridge Street, this Saturday from 8pm. Joining Slyrydes, who are currently promoting their new single 'Dangerous Animals', will be Dublin's Vulpynes, who have just released their new Dye Me Red EP; Limerick/Galway band Fox Jaw, who will soon be releasing a new album; and Galway band, Bannered Mare, who have just launched their Fear Of Missing Out EP.

A Modern Movement is focused on indie and alternative rock and to promoting the best new talent on the Irish music scene. “We noted a small gap in the market for bringing alternative original bands," explains AMM founder John O’Connor. “Galway is a place that bands love to play in, so why not make that happen more often!”

Admission is €5 for the first 30 people and €10 afterwards. The gig will be followed by a DJ until late.
