Galway pole dancer and fitness instructor Racheal Palmer has qualified for the World Pole Fitness championship in Belfast, which takes place this Sunday.
Racheal is a qualified vehicle body repair and pole fitness instructor. She also owns and runs the Galway based pole studio, The Pole Garage Ireland. Despite having no dance or gymnastics background, she is creative and passionate about movement and has studied and trained in the techniques of pole.
"Teaching and training pole dance is a full time job along with performing," said the mother of two. "I wants to inspire the future generation of polers. I believe pole dance influences a positive body image and helps with gaining confidence. Pole has something for all ages, shapes, and sizes. The oldest contestant to take part in the championship this weekend is 66!"
