Galway film to get New York world premiere

The Butterfly Love Song to be shown at Irish Screen America's three-day film festival

THE WORLD premiere of the Galway made film, The Butterfly Love Song, takes place this weekend in New York as part of Irish Screen America's three-day film festival.

Set in, and shot in Old Mervue, the film was scripted by Galway writer Seamus Scanlon, adapted from his own original story, and was directed by Luke Morgan of Galway's Project Spatula. The film was produced by Morgan Creative and Yvette Picque, and co-produced by Gerard McAuliffe and Ryan Keane. Executive producers included John Herbert. Fintan Geraghty was the cinematographer, with assistance from Lakshika Serashine.

The cast features Laura Tuczynska, Ethan Malone, Ajay Flynn, Darren Kilbane, Orla McGovern, Alex Hughes, Daniel Curran, Jason Davis, Shane Davy, and Noah Mun'Goma Webb.

Scanlon and Morgan will both attend the film's screening at The Cantor Film Center, New York, this Sunday.
