Autumn events at Galway Steiner School/Cuan na Gaillimhe

Galway Steiner National School transferred from its previous patron body, Lifeways Ireland, to the patronage of Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board from the start of the 2019/2020 school year. It is now known as Cuan na Gaillimhe Community National School.

The new arrangement will help provide a framework of support for the school, while the Steiner pedagogy in the school will be maintained and Lifeways Ireland will continue to advise the school in relation to Steiner pedagogy. The school has three upcoming public events this term. All events are free and open to the public.

An autumn workshop on the essentials of Steiner education in home and school will take place on Thursday October 24 from 6.45pm to 8.15pm.

Ulrike Farnleitner will be offering an interactive public evening workshop. Ms Farnleitner likes expectations to be clear beforehand, she likes to start and finish on time, and invites people to attend without their children in order to be fully present and reap the maximum benefit from the workshop.

On Friday November 8 at 5pm the school will host a Martinmas family lantern walk. All funds raised at this event will be donated to the Galway Simon Community.

An open evening will take place at the school on Thursday, November 21, from 5.30pm to 7pm. This is an opportunity for prospective parents to learn more about the school. Children are welcome.
