A WORKSHOP to explore vintage medical equipment, and chemicals that were used in the past, will take place tomorrow as part of the Baboró International Arts Festival for Children.
The workshop, entitled Drawing On Science, is being offered by CÚRAM, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Medical Devices. It is for those aged from eight to 12, and will explore the connections between science and art through practical drawing.
The workshop takes place in Ballybane Library tomorrow [Friday October 18] at 15.30pm, and will be led by Karen Conway, artist in residence at CÚRAM. The free workshop will explore vintage medical equipment and chemicals used in the past, with Conway comparing them to today’s devices and chemicals, while biomaterials and medical devices will be used to create drawings.
Places in the workshop are limited and booking is required via the Ballybane library on 091 - 380590. For more see www.baboro.ie
