Le Boom play the Róisín this weekend

Get up close and personal with the Irish electro-pop sensation

IN THREE years, Irish electro-pop duo Le Boom have racked up 2.1 million streams for their five single releases so far; played Primavera Sound and Electric Picnic, and put on shows in New York, Reykjavik, and Bilbao.

Le Boom - Christy Leech and Aimie Mallon - play the Róisín Dubh tomorrow [Friday October 18] at 8pm. Their music has been called “intoxicating electro-pop that celebrates those moments where life seems like it couldn't get any better” by PopMatters, and as an "early 1980s New York post-disco throwback" by the Sunday Times.

Le Boom’s debut single release, 'What We Do', received regular airplay on US and Irish radio and was featured in a summer campaign for Vodafone as it approached one million streams. Subsequent singles, 'Don’t Need It Now', 'Coma', and 'Animal' brought them multiple prominent features on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Hot New Bands, Running UK, and New Pop Revolution.

Their music has also soundtracked ads and had placements for Failte Ireland, Made In Chelsea, Vodafone, and the St Patrick’s Festival. In March this year, their debut EP, All Of My Highs was released.

Support is from Cynema. Tickets are available from www.roisindubh.net; OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street; and the Róisín Dubh.
