The audiology team at Specsavers Galway stores is to open a new hearing clinic in The Spiddal Medical Centre, County Galway, commencing Wednesday, October 2.
Audiologists at Specsavers Galway will offer hearing screenings, hearing aid servicing, tuning and battery replacements at the Spiddal Hearing Clinic, with the intention of expanding the services available at the clinic over time.
Speaking about the opening of the hearing clinic in Spiddal, store director at Specsavers Galway stores, Noel Meehan, said that having listened to their customers in Connemara, they appreciate the difficulty of having to travel to Galway city for hearing services.
Audiologist at Specsavers Galway stores, Daniella Hudson, said that at Specsavers Galway, they are dedicated to providing the best professional service for ocustomers, along with expert advice and compassion.
“We strive to raise awareness of the importance of regular hearing tests, which are a vital part of an individual’s overall health check. With the launch of our new hearing clinic in Spiddal, we hope that more adults will be encouraged to prioritise their hearing health,” she said.
Specsavers Galway stores offer customers PRSI hearing benefits, which are available to both employed and self-employed workers. For anyone eligible for PRSI hearing benefits, the Department of Welfare will pay for half of the cost of a hearing aid, up to a maximum of €500 for a single aid, or to up €1,000 for a pair, and claim up to 50% off repairs and replacement hearing aids too.
The hearing clinic will launch on Wednesday, October 2 and continue on the following dates; Wednesday, 23 October; Wednesday, 13 November; Wednesday, 27 November and Wednesday, 11 December. Appointments will run from 9.30am until 4.30pm.
