Vladimir and Anton - those were the days

Slovakian violin duo return to the Town Hall Theatre

THE ACCLAIMED Slovakian brothers and violinists, Vladimir and Anton Jablokov, are coming to Galway next week to perform their latest show, Those Were The Days.

Named after Mary Hopkin's 1968 ht single, which itself was originally based on a Russian folk song, the show takes place in the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday October 5 at 8pm. It will include performances of 'Que Sera Sera', Hungarian Dance No 5, Russia's Kalinka, the Jewish dance piece 'Hava Nagila', 'Danny Boy', and of course, 'Those Were The Days'.

Vladimir and Anton have been described by the leading Irish conductor David Brophy as "a truly unique duo!”. This will be their only Galway show of this year (there will be no December show, as there is traditionally ).
