More than 40 new homes are set to be built in Moycullen following the allocation of €14.6 million in Government funding. The turnkey development will be located at Kylebroughlan.
A total of 49 accommodation units will be provided in the development, comprising 33 three-bedroom houses, four two-bedroom houses, six two-bedroom apartments, and six one-bedroom apartments. Construction has already begun and it is envisaged the homes will be ready on a phased basis from the latter half of next year.
The funding was allocated to the Galway County Council by the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Eoghan Murphy under the Social Housing Investment Programme.
The funding has been welcomed by Aire don Ghaeilge, don Ghaeltacht agus do na hOileáin, Seán Kyne. “This shows the Government is committed to increasing the supply of housing,” he said, “and improving housing security right across Galway and the west.”
