GERRY MALLON and the Róisín Dubh have joined forces to present a very special night of comedy with the Scottish born, Canadian based Phil Nichol on Sunday at 8.30pm.
Phil Nichol started out as the guitarist for the musical comedy trio Corky And The Juice Pigs, before going solo and winning the If (formerly the Perrier ) Award at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
It’s been onwards and upwards for the4 man since then as he has starred with in stage productions of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, with Christian Slater, and in The Odd Couple with Bill Bailey.
In his stand-up comedy, Nichol is said to have “the face of an angel, the tongue of a whore, and the energy of a toddler on Red Bull” and a “brazen disregard for personal dignity”.
So if you like your comedy offensive, foul mouthed, moral majority baiting, and funny, this is the show for you.
Support is from Cork’s Jason Coughlan. Gerry Mallon is the MC. Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh and Zhivago and admission includes free entry to No Banjo after the show.
